TRIUMPH STAG Mk2 HOOD STOWAGE CATCHES

NEW "LOCK SAFE" DESIGN, TYPE LS2.

These new, hood frame stowage catches are designed to replace the original Mk2 type catches, 631680 & 631681, and to eliminate all the problems associated with them.

The old design catches can work well under ideal conditions, but are not tolerant of common alignment errors in the frame, and due to this will often jam or fail to lock reliably. When this happens the hood can jam in the hood well, or cannot be stowed away, and if this occurs at the onset of rain, it can be very frustrating. Other problems on the old catches can arise where the catch spring does not stay in place and this also makes the catch inoperative.  Our video here shows how the new catches work:

These new LS2 "Lock Safe" Catches will lock, and release reliably every time, especially because they have been designed to be highly tolerant of frame misaligment. They are made in the UK using high quality, precision, laser cut stainless steel parts. These will fit directly to Mk2 (single window) stag hoods.  However, please note that they are not suitable for use with Mk1 3-window style covers.
